Tuomas Jääskeläinen is design director at Bonnier Publications. He has designed or re-designed half a dozen magazines in recent years in Finland and Russia. Beyond his day job in mainstream publishing, he finds himself involved in the most peculiar magazine related projects home and abroad. A self-proclaimed magazine junkie, he is going to talk about his addiction and why independent magazines are the future of publishing.

Jääskeläinen talks about the drive behind independent magazines, their inspirational effect on mainstream titles and their role as a test laboratory for new ideas and editorial models.
